This afternoon, I have commissioned the desilting of the Gitanangugu reinforced concrete dam in Mavuria ward, Mbeere South. 
The Desilting of the Dam is a key area of intervention to increase the existing reservoir's capacity so as to provide the local community with water.
The dam will be very beneficial to different community members across the different value chains including honey, mangoes, muguka and livestock farmers.

H.E the Governor chaired the 4th Cabinet meeting to receive departmental reports and plans going forward for the County.
We have considered important County Agenda and documents including; the County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2023/2024, County Budget Review and Outlook Paper, Debt Management Strategy Paper 2023 among others.
I have called on our County Executive Committee Members to ensure that they offer a collective voice on policy issues to ensure that we deliver on our promises to the people of Embu.

Health issues- our Concern
Health has become a major issue among the Kenyan youth.  Apart from the traditional problems like malaria, TB and sexually transmitted diseases, the advent and outspread of HIV/AIDS has become an issue of major personal, community and public concern. AIDS has had a devastating socio-economic effect on both individuals and communities, necessitating the government to declare it a national disaster.
