The Embu County Government has achieved a major milestone in its ongoing public service reforms, following the successful transition of 181 Enforcement Officers and 58 Revenue Officers from contract terms to Permanent and Pensionable employment.

Governor Cecily Mutitu Mbarire led the initiative, reaffirming her administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare, dignity and motivation of county employees who work tirelessly to sustain service delivery and revenue growth.

During a consultative session held today with Enforcement and Revenue teams, the Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, the County Secretary, CEC Members, Chief Officers and other senior government officials. This was an important demonstration of unity and high level commitment to empowering frontline staff.

Governor Mbarire emphasized that the officers’ dedication, often under difficult conditions, contributes directly to the County’s financial stability and strengthened governance structures.

“This transition is not just about employment status. It is about honouring the men and women who keep Embu safe, organized and productive. We are securing their future because they secure ours every day,” stated Governor Mbarire.

The policy shift is expected to motivate personnel, reduce staff turnover and enhance productivity within the critical functions of law enforcement and revenue mobilization. It also demonstrates the Governor’s results driven leadership style and her promise to deliver people centred reforms that create real and lasting impact in citizens’ lives.
